FujiFilm GFX 50S Digital Medium Format Camera — Tech Review

Heads Up: I’m not an Official Ambassador of FujiFilm. However, I did attend a trial-testing workshop by SMUSAIC and decided to share my own experiences from it, since I got help from the Internet myself. I’m not an overly-technical photographer so the following review is based on my personal experience and viewpoint of what I like or dislike about this camera. The opinions here are all of my own.
Presenting the seemingly new FujiFilm GFX 50S Digital Medium Format Camera, a 51.4-Megapixel, 43.8x32.9mm CMOS sensor (FUJIFILM G Format) monster.
This was a trial opportunity that I had gotten way back in August 2017 but had only recently had the time to do the write-up and present my viewpoint of this amazing camera.

Camera Handling
The grip is usually the most important item for a photographer as most seasoned Professional Photographer would know that to be able to hold onto a camera for lengthy periods, the grip must be comfortable and sizeable to hold in one’s hand.
Truth be told, this is a camera more meant for a man than a lady, given its larger grip. However, the design of the grip is very comfortable in the hands and depending on the lens you pop into the camera, will then depend on how many arms stretch you will need to hold this camera for long periods of time.
The camera body feels very rugged and hardly and should be able to handle the harshness of Mother Nature, given Fujifilm’s promise of a Weather-sealed camera body (Of which I didn’t have the chance of truly testing that out).
Buttons and interface wise, it looks exactly or close to the handling of a Canon 5D Mark IV camera, so it was pretty much very easy for me to get a hang of it after a while, given a slight difference in the positioning of some of the controls.
